I was working in the sports department at John Lewis. Said it right in a customer's face. I'd just...never seen the word written down before. I mean, your pupils don't "die-lartay", do they? No; they fucking dilate.

Lesson learnt; words are confusing. But despite this embarrassing setback, I still like them.

I started out as a budding journalist, but quickly realised I was better at writing funny headlines than court reports. So I've spent the last 10 years writing taglines for major films and TV series, scripts for global brands in the ad world, and most word-related things in between.

In a wider creative role, I've conceptualised and made ads for the likes of Google, Expedia, Tanqueray, and RIMOWA.

I'm also trying to find time to write jokes and scripts of my own, because I've got *ideas*. So while I do that, go and have a look at my work, or drop me a line.

Maybe with a lar-tay in hand.
